       25 Hidden WhatsApp Features

1.        Hide particular contacts from viewing your story

If you don’t want to share Stories with all WhatsApp contacts, you can prohibit particular contacts from viewing your status updates or stories as they now stand.

          You have to go Setting.

·         Go to WhatsApp settings>> Select Account>> Privacy

·         Select Status>> ‘My contacts except’

·         Now select specific contacts you wish to avoid and tap the tick mark below.

You can also select Only share with an option if you wish to share status updates only with a small number of specific contacts.

2.         Limit data usage.

If you don’t want automatically download Media file on your WhatsApp from family Friend and your groups

You can control how much data you consume by limiting. 

·         Go to WhatsApp settings>>

·         Select >> Data & Storage  Usage  and

·         Select >> When using Mobile Data  and Deselect Check Box 1)PHOTOS 2) AUDIO 3)VIDEOS 4)DOCUMENTS

     3. See Statistics how many data usages.

        If You want to see that How many Data Consumed Your WhatsApp

          You have to go Setting

·         Go to WhatsApp settings>>

·         Select >> Data & Storage  Usage  and

·         Select >> Network Usage.

You Can See Their that how many data usage of Massage Sent and Received of CALLS AND MEDIAS.  

     
           4.        Invisible or Hide on WhatsApp

         You want to invisible on WhatsApp nobody see you online then you turn off 
            it uses this Setting

·         Go to WhatsApp settings>>

·         Select >> Account  >> Privacy>> change your Last seen  to "nobody".

After this Setting  nobody knows when were you last seen on WhatsApp

        5.        Hide WhatsApp messages Chat (Archive)

  If you want to hide messages from WhatsApp Chats Screen you have to follow this step.   If you don’t want a particular conversation to be conspicuous, you can hide it as      “Archive”.

Go to your chats screen, and scroll to the conversation that you would like to archive (hide).

Just long press the conversation and select the Archive button on the top. This particular chat will now disappear from the list. You can access is by scrolling all the way to the bottom.

Simply launch WhatsApp, and then, head to Settings > Archive All Chats

6.         HIDE YOUR PROFILE PICTURE & STATUS

You can bet they’d have their WhatsApp profile pics set to private, instead of treating the world to a bedraggled photo of them and a bottle of Lambrini. Go to Settings > Privacy > Profile Photo > Nobody.
For hiding Status Follow this Setting Go to Settings > Privacy > Status > Nobody.

7.         Delete Sent messages and typos.

If you want to delete sent by mistake massage yes you can it, WhatsApp introduced its new Delete for everyone feature enabling us to delete messages after they have been sent.

Now when you send a message to someone that you don’t want them to read,

Simply hold down the message which you want to delete, and select delete for everyone. 

Earlier WhatsApp allowed you to delete for everyone only for a span of 7 minutes but now this has been extended to an hour.

8.        Send Privately Massages.

Your recipients will get the message as if it was a privately composed one, oblivious to the fact that you’ve sent the exact same invite to 342 other people. Sincerity? What's that? this feature works in pretty much the same way as BCC-ing people in an email.

Follow this step tap On the top-left-hand corner of WhatsApp Screen Chats window, just below the search bar, you’ll notice a Broadcast Lists. Tap on it for the option to create a new list You can create list new contacts you want your message to go out to, and message away like you would normally.

9.        Keep Messages Secret.

Theoretically, all messages on WhatsApp are private - but not when you leave your phone on the table, and a new message notification pops up. How many times have you unintentionally read someone’s message just because you’ve curiously looked over when their phone screen blinked to life with a new message notification? Admit it, we’ve all done it, and sometimes read something we've regretted.

How: Go to Settings, then Notifications, and disable Show Preview. Now you can gossip in peace, without anyone accidentally reading your conversations by glancing casually at your phone when a notification comes in. Your notification still reveals who has just messaged you, without divulging any of its super secret contents.

10.   Messages Transfer files between PC and Phone using by WhatsApp Web

If You want to send and download by your laptop or desktop computer WhatsApp Web is the best creation since...WhatsApp itself.

Follow this step to enable inconspicuous chatting on the web while you do your work, Now open web.whatsapp.com on your PC Browser.

all you have to do is go to Settings in your phone and tap on WhatsApp Web. Then scan the QR code that appears on computer Browser Scan QR  using your phone. Commence chatting on the sly without downloading anything..

11.   Read messages without being given away by Blue Ticks.

If you wish to read a WhatsApp message without the sender knowing, there are a couple of ways you could do that.

You can disable blue ticks altogether (Settings>>Account>>Privacy>> uncheck Read Receipts),

Note: you won’t be able to see if others have read your message either.

12.   Send Your Mates Your Location.
If you want  to give directions to your Friends  on where to meet and getting nowhere, you can sling them a drop pin of your current location  on map and get them to make their way to you using maps. If you are not there yet, you can also send them a pin of where you're heading, WhatsApp live location newer feature use to share your 'live location' to let them track your movements & route.
The location is updated in real time and you can keep a tab on exact whereabouts of specific contacts. You can share location for 15 minutes, 1 Hour or 8 Hours straight.

·         To do so, just tap the attachment icon in the text input field.

·         Now select ‘location’ and then select ‘Share Live Location.

You can end it whenever you want by clicking the "stop sharing" option in the chat. 

13.   Hide WhatsApp group photos and videos from gallery.
If you want to hide whatsApp Group downloaded Photos and Videos in Gallery, WhatsApp has now added the option to hide media from particular groups in the gallery. Follow the step Just open a WhatsApp group
Tap on the group name to access the option. This method won’t remove already existing WhatsApp images in your gallery (you will have to delete them) and will hide new incoming media only.

14.   Delete images or videos from a particular WhatsApp group or contact.

If a particular WhatsApp group or contact is hogging storage space, you can delete messages, chats, videos, and audio from a specific WhatsApp group.

·         Go to Settings>> ‘Data and Storage usage’

·         Select ‘Storage Usage’ and you will see all groups and contacts ranked according to the storage space they are hogging.

·         Select the group and tap on the Manage Messages option at the bottom.

·         Now, select and clear whatever data videos, Document , Photos, etc. that you wish to get rid of.

15.    Limit data used by WhatsApp.

To restrict the data consumed by the app, this is what you need to do.
Follow this steps
Go to Settings>>Data and Storage usage
From here you can decide what all media (Photos, videos, documents, audio) the app can download while eating your data.

16.   Pin conversation or make shortcuts.

If you wish to keep a particular contact or conversation on top. You can simply long press the conversation and select the Pin icon in the options menu that appears on top. You can also press the triple dot menu and select create shortcut option to place the conservation shortcut on the main page.

17.   Format WhatsApp Messages: Change font, Bold, italics, strikethrough.
You can also format fonts of your WhatsApp messages. To do so, just long press the portion of text you wish to format after typing it in the message input field. Now you will get the option to change format to bold, strikethrough, or italics. You can also ‘Monospace’ option to change the font.
Change phone number associated with your account.
You can manually format test as follows

·         *ABC* = ABC

·         _ABC_ = ABC

·         ~ABC~ = ABC

18.   Email your chat conversations.

You can also email entire conversation with a contact. To do so, go to Settings>> Chat>> Chat History.
Now select the option to ‘Email Chat’. Select the conversation you wish to export (with or without media) and then complete the process using any email app of your choice. The Chat will be mailed as a .txt attachment.

19.   Backup data on Google Drive.

Backing up WhatsApp data on Google drive gives you a convenient way to restore your chat messages and media when you switch your phone or reinstall WhatsApp.

Go to Settings>> Chat>> Chat Backup. From here you can select how frequently WhatsApp should backup your data to Google drive (Daily, Weekly, Monthy, When you Tap Backup or never).

20.   Change WhatsApp number

If you want to  replace old number with your new number and keep using the same WhatsApp account & discontinuing the number registered with WhatsApp,

You can follow this step  the option under Settings>> Account>> Change number. Your new number should be active to do so.

21.   Change WhatsApp chat background.
You can change WhatsApp chat background as well. To customize it, just go to Settings>>Chats>> Wallpaper.
Now select an image from your gallery or from any other folder, adjust it and apply it.

22.   Hide WhatsApp media from gallery.
You don’t have much control over who sends you what over different WhatsApp group and thus its always wise to hide this content from your gallery. Here is how you can do that:

·         Download ES explorer

·         Open Internal storage>>WhatsApp>> Media>> WhatsApp images

·         Tap on the triple-dot icon and then select ‘+’

·         Add a new file and name it as .nomedia

·         Now go to phone settings>>Apps

·         Enable the option to show system apps (triple-dot menu on the top-right)

·         scroll down to media storage and clear data for this app.

That’s it. You can now reboot your phone. Your WhatsApp images won’t show in the gallery anymore. To start seeing them again, you can delete .nomedia file using the explorer.
You can also hide WhatsApp videos, GIFs, etc. using the same process.

23.   Customize notifications.

If you’re expecting an important WhatsApp message from someone, set a custom notification for them by opening the chat, tapping their name at the top and hitting Custom notifications. This way, you won't be missing out on the important stuff.

24.        Mute Group Chats.

Once you have put a group on mute mode, you won't get sound alerts for notifications for that particular group, but the messages will appear in the notification tray.

If you mute a person on whatsapp, then if the person messages you, your phone will not play the notification tune. 

Follow Step to Mute Group Chats

Open the group chat thread in Whatsapp &Tap on the name of the group on the top.

Tap on Mute.

Pick an option for the time period for which the notifications from this group chat should be muted. ( 1 day, 1 week or 1 year).

25.   Change Mobile Number of WhatsApp.

If Your want to Change Your WhatsApp Number You can easily change your number on WhatsApp and notify contacts 

To change your phone number within WhatsApp, follow these steps:

                        Insert the new SIM card with the new number into your device.

2. Open WhatsApp.
3. Check if your old phone number is currently verified. ...
4. Go to WhatsApp > Menu Button > Settings > Account > Change number.
5. Enter your old phone number in the top box.
6. Enter your new phone number in the bottom box.
